"First was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." "Sound Healing," operates on the premise that every cell, molecule, organ, etc. emits a sound vibration. These sounds are inaudible to the human ear, but can be matched in resonance by the harmonic overtone of an audible sound. When any system is malfunctioning, its parts will not be vibrating harmoniously. In other words, they are "out of tune." Through the process of entrainment, which is the tendency of vibrations to move into harmony, "out of tune" cells, or organs can be harmonized to function as an organic system. A dis-eased system is like an orchestra with instruments playing out of tune, the dissonances creating an uneasiness in our bodies. When the orchestra is tuned and harmonious, our bodies can relax and be transported to higher levels of enjoyment...joy. The Unique harmonics of the Himalayan bowls entice the body to retune to its sounds. Body parts are reset, if you will, to harmonious functioning. Since one needs to be open to allow the sounds to permeate the body¹s borders, I can best utilize the bowls at the end of a Shiatsu session where the possibility of energetic alignment is greatest. I am a third level Practitioner in the use of Himalayan Bowls I was trained and certified by Nine Ways Mystery School under the tutelage of Mitch Nur. The Bowls I use are authentic antiques hundreds of years old. The formula by which they were made utilizes an alchemical formula of at least nine different metals and minerals. Originally used ritualistically by priests, they are different than the bowls made commercially today and create superior harmonics. There is not presently a large amount of hard scientific evidence about sound healing. Most of the information is anecdotal and intuitive at this point, as was Yoga practice and Meditation in the 60's before it was practiced on a large scale.
